1988 – the Macintosh llx was introduced by the company as a part of the update for the Macintosh II. It had an 800 KB floppy drive as well as a 1.44 SuperDrive.

The Macintosh SE/30 released in 1989 was considered as the fastest compact Macs at the time. The graphics were of course still in black and white but the SE/30 was definitely popular. The SE/30 even appeared in the TV series Seinfeld during its first seasons.

The Macintosh portable is the first ever portable computer that sent an email from the Space Shuttle mission STS-43. It was used by the space shuttle program in 1991.

Dubbed by Frank Casanova as wicked fast, the Macintosh IIfx had a lot of names. These names included Stealth, F-16, Blackbird, F-19, IIxi, Zone 5, Weed-Whacker, and Four Square.

Released in the year 1991, the Macintosh Powerbook 140 was the first laptop ever made by the Cupertino company. It was followed by the 145 in August of 1992, and the 145B in July of 1993. It was intended as a replacement for Apple’s portable computer.

In 1995, Apple came out with the PowerBook 5300. However, due to its lackluster performance it was discontinued on August 3, 1986.

The Power Macintosh 7220 also known as the Power Macintosh 4400 in the United States and other markets, was released on November 1996 and later on discontinued in early 1998.

The 20th Anniversary Macintosh looks like one of those science fiction devices in movies in the early 80s.
These products were later on followed by slicker more appealing products from the company signaling the start of a technological revolution.
